You can manually set your availability state. To change your availability state in Connect Client click the colored square and choose your new availability state. This will also update the availability state displayed on your phone as well.
Let’s say your extension is currently in the available state, as seen in the picture on both the phone and the ShoreTel Connect Client above.
A colleague walks over to your desk to have an important discussion and you need to put your phone into do not disturb mode so that it doesn’t ring and interrupt you.
To do this click on the colored square in the Connect Client
In the drop down menu choose ‘Do Not Disturb’
Note how the availability state changed on the ShoreTel Connect Client and the state on the phone itself also changed
Again ShoreTel Connect Client is an application that works in conjunction with and controls your phone.
